Our Minister ~ Reverend Karen Wolfson

REV.-KAREN-WOLFSONOrdained by International Centers for Spiritual Living and in the ministry since 1988, Rev. Karen has served as Assistant Minister at Centers in Atlanta and Sarasota before founding the Center for Spiritual Living Sarasota (originally Center for Spiritual Awakening) in January 2002.

She has served in several leadership roles with the International Centers for Spiritual Living – most recently co-chairing the annual Leadership Conference (held at Asilomar in northern California) and currently serving as Leadership Conferences Liaison to the International Centers for Spiritual Living (ICSL) Board of Directors.

Reverend Karen also served on the ICSL (then RSI) Board of Education as Director of the ICSL (then RSI) Practitioner Department.

She is an active member of the Gulfcoast Affirming Interfaith Network (G.A.I.N.), Diverse faith communities affirming the dignity of all. (G.A.I.N. presents an annual Interfaith Service and annual World AIDS Day Service).

Reverend Karen is a monthly contributor to Creative Thought magazine, and her articles on spiritual and personal growth appear regularly in a variety of publications.

She authored a book, The Essence of Troward, which is used in the class curriculum of many Centers for Spiritual Living throughout the US and England.

Reverend Karen has created and facilitated several women's prayer gatherings, in addition to creating and teaching a number of classes on practical spirituality and growth, and particularly on the consciousness and practical application of positive prayer.

She has lived in Sarasota since 1993 with her husband, Irwin Wolfson, R.Sc.P. (Religious Science Prayer Practitioner, licensed by International Centers for Spiritual Living).
